6 months of Silence.....Let's Catch up and Break the Silence!

Well, Long time no post.....

It's been a crazy past 6 mo. The last time i posted was about my brother-in law's birthday living in Ashland, KY in the back yard apartment/barn. Although, don't get me wrong nick and i are truly blessed with our humbled beginnings having the opportunity to stay close to family and be in a place where we could save more and get used to starting out as Mr. & Mrs. It came with less responsibilities but equipped us with skills to help us in the future. This was one of our many blessings in disguise.

From since our childhood, my husband and i have always been taught that God's blessings come in all shapes and sizes. It works in every type of situation, and even is used through different people. The blessings of God are so miraculous, that they come as packages hand delivered from Heaven. Our Huge blessing was given, when nick and i the start of the new year God took us and moved us to Winchester, KY. January 14th we took our truck and car crammed with everything we needed and headed to the apartment that was the only one renovated for us. We began a new journey on our own with new surroundings, no family around, but with ambition and love and God in the center we settled really well. This has been one of the many reasons with the absence on the blog. We've had to adjust to home sickness and living simply. But let me be the first to tell you how much of an humble experience to see two ordinary people devote themselves to Christ and take a marriage and from day one work in our lives every single day. From answered prayers to road blocks it all has been a beautiful written story about a Husband and a Wife and there book written by the master author/illustrator.

This has been a little bit of our lives so far. We have some new experiences beginning to happen and we are excited to see God lead us to other beautiful experiences. Trusting God is the best decision we've ever made.

P.S. - Glad to be back and posting. Looking forward to catching up with all my blog friends.

 God Bless!

My 5 This Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! I'm so glad it's Friday and I'm sure you are too. So let's get down to the goodies!......

{ONE}

So this week i was able to wrap up the fall semester, with two finals and a presentation I had to give, I overall completed the year well. I also was able to find out that I am able to get an Associates degree next year in Child Development which will enable me to be an Pre-K Teacher!!! (So ecstatic!!!) So with my crazy, finals week and having literally no energy, I was able to in between finals celebrate my brother-In laws 22nd bday. In our household we literally have a lot of December babies. Anyway here are a few photos of the family get together.

Cake was super Delisch! (Dave's Bakery).

The Best Pic of the Birthday Man Himself :)

Thanks to Nick's Papaw for this Photo of us! :)

So with our house being fully decorated (You can see pics Here if you missed the post) we have been on a mission to find an affordable tree, Luckily we graciously allowed to borrow one this year, with our possibility of moving next year we didn't want to buy one just yet. So I decided to go very classic, with red, gold and silver ornaments, and adding a borrowed snowflake topper, and cute brown tree skirt, it was the finishing touch we needed and just in time for Christmas!

So I'm aware Fall is about to be over, and the first day of Winter is in a couple of weeks, but I want to share my favorite fall jewelry piece. I found this Owl Necklace over a year ago, at a local shop in my hometown area. It's at Cato's. (Check out their website Here) I'm not able to find this specific necklace on their site, but that have other adorable options too! Very affordable and my MIL & I love to shop there. I'm hoping we make a girls date soon!

{Five}

My last item on today's list is my overall favorite and I'm super excited to share it with you. A few day's ago my blogger friend Jenn, was having a CaseApp giveaway. This is a site (which I embedded the link if you click on the word) where you can design your own phone case or laptop Skin. You can upload pics, and add colors, texts, and more! It's a perfect gift to give yourself or anyone in the family!

For those of you who don't know Jenn I'll introduce her. She is a wonderful talented gal, who is sweeter than candy! and the Author of her Blog, Crown Me In Glitter  . She has a beautiful family, and I'm looking forward to getting to know her!

So after submitting my details for the giveaway, I just honestly forgot about it, till the other day Jenn emailed me to tell me I won! (I never win anything, so honestly I had to like email her back to make sure.) After the email confirmation, and the coupon code, I went to designing my very first case.

Well That's My Friday in a nutshell. Hope everyone has a fantastic Weekend! And can't wait to see what your 5 are!

5 On Friday! :)

Hello everyone. So guess what it's Fab Friday! So ready for the weekend and I'm sure you are too.
So to start this Friday off right here is a list of my five things this Friday.

One.

With crazy hectic week I'm all about spending some time to pamper myself. With chores consistent and finals week, that's not much time. However, after decorating the house for Christmas, and a very tight budget this month, I decided to give my self a much needed fresh coat of polish. Only I wanted to pass on the Christmas spirit. This nail Polish I absolutely love. It's called Pacifica - Red Red Wine. (and it's only $9!). Okay so I'm very active on the computer and use my hands daily and I'm always on the look out for the best nail polish (Chip proof!) and ladies this is it. This one bottle has lasted me over a year and I purchased it last October. There are many other shades as well, but this one I love and use for Christmas time!

Two.

As I've stated before with the first one, I love getting my nails done. (Although my pocketbook says otherwise.) I've mostly created boards through Pinterest to gather the latest nail fashion's but here as of lately, been kinda doing my own thing. Well since my halls are already decked for the season, I decided to get Festive with my Manicure. I used the same color Pacifica Red Red Wine (Which I always sing the song when I mention this specific nail polish) But I added a little Multi Sparkle polish which is Sally Hansen- Xtreme Wear- Strobe Light.(I've embedded a link to see Sally Hansen's collection).  Perfect duo to get festive of course, you could pair it with a gold, silver or green glitter polish, but i tend to get the glitter polish to match the shade. So here is how it turned out. Love it!!!

Three.

So upon my Husband and Myself getting hitched this past June, we had previously in May started remolding our home, (AkA- The Barn). It's located in the back of my in laws yard, and we absolutely love it! Although its spacious for two people, we seem to have loved the overall look. We pretty much had several appliances donated and were graciously given to us through friends. One piece of Furniture was the couch set through a mutual friend of ours. So Although it doesn't match we've began looking to hopefully (Possibly Tax Returns) buy a new sofa to go with the decor in our home. So we've been making little dates to go look at furniture when we can. We found this pretty couch, but wasn't the first choice, but I couldn't help snap a photo of my Handsome Hubby trying out the different seating arrangements.

Four.

So my last post, I posted photos of our place all spruced and festive for the Holidays, which I might add is the most wonderful time of year. It's my favorite time of year to spend with family, and even more special this year since it's the first Holiday Season married! I love starting new traditions with him, and although we haven't gotten a tree just yet, and haven't begun to pull out the lists and gather gifts, Just listening to Holiday radio, and look out the door with our Christmas lights, is perfect enough. So my Husband knows this is my Favorite holiday and time of year, so knowing this, he let me pick out my very own Christmas mug for our place. (which the child in me completely shed tears with this specific mug!). Okay so I exaggerated a little in that statement, but I did get all giddy cause the Peanuts are classics for any occasion.

Five.

My last item is all about comfort and style. Which with these two terms can be rather tricky. So last Christmas my wonderful, loving, fabulous, MIL. (Mother in law).  Gave me cheetah print slippers that she ordered through Avon. I know i'm just beginning to wear them a year later, but I specifically did this cause at the time I wanted to save things for after I was married to my Love. So since the weather is getting a tad nippy, I decided to pull these babies out and I love them. I have them on literally 24/7 of course. (Might I add only while I'm home, I'm not a Slipper Walmart/Errand Gal). They have enough support for standing to do dishes and keep my toes extra cozy warm! I literally love them and recommend them to any gal on the search for a cute slipper.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

With 2015 Thanksgiving under wraps, I had to post a pic of my love and I enjoying the holidays with both sets of our family's. Although, this thanksgiving was a tad different due to some uncontrolled circumstances we overall enjoyed our first thanksgiving married. It was great to be able to visit with both sets of families. We enjoyed our first thanksgiving dinner with my side of the family in Mt. Sterling, and then with my in law's on Saturday. Overall with the two dinner's (Thank the lord they were spread apart a day. ).  We were over stuffed and gobbled out with Turkey.

After thanksgiving we spent the weekend going underway for our first Holiday/Christmas decorating went into full swing. We boxed up the Fall/Thanksgiving decorations and tucked them away for next year. We gathered up our previously bought decorations and began to decorate our house for the season. We blast Christmas music while doing so, and let me tell you it was Magical!

Here are the Pics of our house all festive :)

This is how much we've decorated so far. Not too mention the fact that we completely rearranged the place and deep cleaned the house. It's beginning to feel homey. Although we are Tree-less, we hope by the weekend to be able to get our first Christmas tree. Once we do, Prepare for picture spam :)

So with one Holiday under wraps and preparing for that wonderful time of year, I'm excited to see what all my blogger friends have been up too. I would love to hear, your plans for the Holidays and will be on the lookout for your decorations.

It's Party Time!!!

Exciting News!!!

I'm Hosting a Thirty One party!

** Link will be posted at the end of the post. **

How this all began:
So last weekend, I went to help my Mother-in-law with her spur of the moment idea to market her business. When I was introduced to one of her good friend's daughter, Laura Bayes! who is an Independent Consultant for Thirty One! Since she was at this event with her product's, to make a long story short, i decided to host a party through her, and Now have decided to become a Independent Consultant myself. This is going to be fun, and a new adventure that I'm excited to jump in and take. Can't wait to see where it takes me! Also I'm so excited to have made a new friend, and jump into this Sisterhood and see what's in store!

So i'm thrilled with this fresh start, and venturing out of my comfort zone. Although, i'm not yet a consultant, i can't wait to be one. I'm excited to be able here in a couple of weeks to purchase my starter kit, and being able to host this party, Meeting a ton of fabulous ladies that have shown so much positive encouragement.

So we were able to set up a Facebook event called, COLOR Bash that will be starting now through the end of the month. Which means thirty one has several items that you can purchase and be able to color your own designs. (You remember those black fuzzy posters that we used those small markers to design, it's like that only on steroids!)  How we do this, is very simple. You want to first, go to the link (Which thank's to Laura i have!) which is my thirty one party link. There your able to see the online catalog and place your order. *Keep in mind you need the items with the following prints to participate in the Color bash;
  • Black Playful Parade
  • Black Chevron
  • Black links
Secondly, once you've placed your order, which you have til the end of the month to do so, and you've got your item that you will color, we will be meeting on Sat. Nov, 14th 2015, at Flat wood's, Ky Giovanni's Pizza to eat, color, and have a girls night! That's all! Now i know some of my blogger friend's live not locally to me, so that's okay your more than welcome to still party with us, and purchase your item color it and then send me a pic of it when it's completed. It's a win, win!

Just those 2 steps That's all! So join us for all the FUN! and stay with me on this Crazy Adventure I'm about to do!

As promised below are the Party link on Thirty One.

Hope you Join all the Fun! If you want to be invited to the facebook event, Contact me for the link!

However, now that i'm back up and at it, I'm here to play catch up and fill you on not only on me and my husband's life, but what I've been up too that's kept me away longer than planned......

So the last i posted, i introduced you to the newest member of our household. (Chloe). Well, we've gone from foster parent's to a bit longer than expected. She is growing bigger everyday, not only physically, but in our heart's as well! Although, there are the moments where we dread having to clean the latest disaster area, but overall we love her to Pisces. Here is the most recent pic to share!

This Furry, bundle is way beyond cute!!! <3

So with our constant hand's filled with balancing being fur parents, and newlywed's, I've been going to school part time at my local College. I've recently decided (after numerous degree changes, and indecisive feelings) to be a Middle School Teacher. I'm completing my Sophomore year in college, which leaves me 2 years til i'm done. However, this week was midterm's and so I thought i would post my grades.

Psy 1010- 97.

EDTC 2030- (Teaching and Technology)- 87.

With no fall break, and school half way through, I'm about shot and really looking forward to Thanksgiving Break. (Let's hope i can make it til then), I've enjoyed finally finding my niche in the world. Can't wait to be a teacher! Now let's just make it through without pulling out my hair. lol

So this is a simply all i have, and hate to leave it short and sweet, but til next time...(hopefully soon)

Hope all my Blogging Friends enjoy themselves!
